New Nonstop Locations For Azerbaijani Citizens
Azerbaijan Airlines will launch these three new flights from its main office in Baku.The first new flight will travel from Heydar Aliyev International Airport (GYD) to Islamabad International Airport (ISB), the airport serving Pakistan’s capital city of Islamabad. Starting on September 20, the Islamabad flights will run on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Flights from Baku will depart on Wednesdays and Saturdays for Islamabad, Mondays and Fridays for Lahore, and Thursdays and Sundays for Karachi. It is predicted that the expansion of AZAL would strengthen diplomatic connections, travel, tourism, and relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan. The second recently added location is Pakistan’s Lahore. The flight will leave Baku and arrive at Allama Iqbal International Airport (LHE) without stopping along the way. These brand-new flights will run on Mondays and Fridays, twice a week. On September 22, the first flight will leave Baku.
Moreover Pakistan’s third and final flight arrives in Karachi. The flight leaves Baku and flies nonstop to Jinnah International Airport (KHI), the busiest international airport in Pakistan. As of September 21, this route will run on Thursdays and Sundays. The alternate days for its new routes give its new passengers a flexible schedule.
Azerbaijan Airlines Keeps Adding New Routes
Azerbaijan Airlines’ spokeswoman discussed the importance of the three new locations for the company. The spokeswoman added that in addition to promoting tourism and international travel, the new lines will also improve ties between Azerbaijan and Pakistan on the diplomatic front.
