As thousands of Muslims from around the world visit the country to do Umrah. Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has established requirements for women pilgrim attire.

The ministry posted the dress rule on the social media site X, formerly known as Twitter. Along with the caption: “In the realm of sacred attire, the distinction between an Ihram and the customary costume for women undertaking the journey of Umrah becomes clear.”

Saudi Arabia has made a dress code announcement for female Umrah pilgrims.

The Hajj and Umrah Ministry specified the appropriate attire for female pilgrims. Visiting sacred locations.According to the Ministry, women have the right to wear. Whatever they choose as long as they follow certain rules.

Requirements

It stated that as long as the following requirements are followed. Girls may wear any attire of their choice for pilgrimage or Umrah:

1) The attire ought to be broad and loose-fitting.

2) It shouldn’t contain any ornamentation.

3) The clothes must completely enclose the body.

Muslims who choose to make a voluntary pilgrimage to Mecca are said to be doing an umrah.

Authorities in Saudi Arabia anticipate that this season, approximately 10 million foreigners would make the Umrah pilgrimage to the Grand Mosque in Mecca.

Facilities For Umrah Pilgrimage

Saudi Arabia recently introduced a number of facilities to make this pilgrimage more accessible for people from throughout the world. One of them is the 90-day extension of the Umrah visa from 30 days.

The monarchy has also declared that foreign nationals residing in GCC nations are qualified to apply for a tourist visa and can perform Umrah regardless of their line of work.
