Due to a significant accomplishment in agriculture, Saudi Arabia has permanently inscribed its name in the Guinness World Records. According to area, the largest farm in the world is an outpost of the Research Unit for Renewable Water Agriculture in Wadi Bin Hashbal, Asir region. The farm is an example of sustainable agriculture at its best, using an autonomous irrigation system to water. All the crops spread out over the two large fields. It also has a number of other buildings and five greenhouses with air conditioning. The farm’s irrigation methodology is supported by a reliable water treatment system that was developed through several stages by a team of specialists in fields like irrigation, fertilisation, prevention, and equipment management. They are in charge of 20 additional fields that will soon be reclaimed and planted with crops, for a total of 50 fields devoted to fruit trees.
Lemons, oranges, tangerines, pomegranates, grapes, figs, almonds, and olives are a few of the standout fruits and vegetables. The farm also has testing grounds for a wide range of agricultural kinds. Each area has well-equipped large concrete tanks, and automatic irrigation systems ensure that all crops receive the correct irrigation. These farms have five air-conditioned greenhouses and use purified water for irrigation. A team of agricultural experts oversees the irrigation process at various points. The property comprises 50 fields designated for fruit trees in addition to 20 acres for diverse agricultural crops.
