Exercise is very beneficial for Cardiac patients suffering from depression. According to a new study report by American medical experts, for people with heart disease who are suffering from depression or depressed mood, exercise restriction is as beneficial as the use of medication.
American College of Cardiology:
The authors of the report, published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, and the researchers involved in the study included 101 heart patients who had heart disease as well as the psychiatric illness depression or dementia. However, these patients continued to exercise at least 90 minutes per week. Other patients who were taking the drug Zoloft were also evaluated. According to the researchers, the condition of both types of patients improved equally. This drug is manufactured by Pfizer, the world’s largest pharmaceutical company, whose generic name is Sertraline.
